The old Gieser on Cults

Postby Lilith on Sun Dec 02, 2007 12:32 pm

Since more than one of you messaged, the following is what the old guy had to say.

“Thank you Mike, I appreciate being here today.” The old man’s voice is slow, snooty and rather monotone.

“We’re grateful to have you Mr. Linhiem, you know the details plaguing our streets. Do you believe there is a cult hiding in our fair city?”

“I do Mike, and as you can read in my book,” as he mentions this he holds up a copy of ‘Cults, Are they near you?’ so it can be seen on the camera. “Cult leaders have a false sense of Godism, and as unspeakable acts were committed throughout history and called Devine purpose, so are these acts today. These leaders Prey on upstanding citizens, pulling on their need to believe there is a greater purpose or higher force out there. In chapter 7 of my book, you can read about a mental disorder I like to call Blind Faith. It’s similar to Stalk homes Syndrome, but varies in a way that the victums truly believe in what they are doing. They hold a love for their leaders as a kidnap victim does their kidnapper when suffering from the disorder. Blind Faith is what these cult leaders are accomplishing.”

“That’s really intriguing Mr. Linhiem, but what New York really wants to know is what Cult is it, what are they trying to accomplish and quite frankly, what’s coming next.”

“Ah, well all cults leave identifiers, symbols to the god, or gods they worship as a sign of respect or humility. Unfortunately in this case, deciphering that identifier has proven difficult. But from my review, I would say we are either dealing with an extremist group from Rise to Heaven, a religious group from New Jersey, or a rather un known group who have been called Lucifer’s Chosen, Chosen, or Choosing Life. If it’s Rise to Heaven we can expect this to be the worst of their display. The Christian group has been know to petition Catholic holy grounds when they believe the priesthood to be corrupt. Last year a group of younger members claim to have found a priest fornicating with a small girl from the shelter. The group beat the priest to death with the wooden crosses they all carry. After words they moved the body to the main chapel leaving the priest face down under the cross of Jesus. The symbolism was suppose to show the priest had fallen from god. With this case today, it could be a sign that the entire Priesthood has fallen from grace, but without a witness, it’s hard to determine. However, Lucifer’s Chosen are a more violent group of demonstrators. Small pockets of their beliefs have been surfacing throughout the country. There beliefs state that the life of the Devine is so blessed that not even the fires of hell can burn you. In my book there is a chapter dedicated to this group through the eye’s of one follower. I fear that if it is this group, New York is just on the beginning steps of a large scale demonstration.”

“Well, that’s not good news. Now, if someone wanted to order your book, how could they go about doing that?”

“Just dial 1-800-999-4MJL. The book is just $20.99, or you can pick it up at most bookstores for $22.95.”

“Well thank you again Mr. Linhiem,”

With that the camera pans back to the news anchors Mike and Linda for closing words and recaps.
